New Jersey

Last weekend we were driving home at this time...yes...11:21 p.m....though pouring rain, a car accident(not ours), running through the pouring rain to the rest area at 1 a.m., and I guess more rain...some Dr. Pepper...and Finally, home at 2:00 a.m.

Jeff and I needed a break from Massachusetts...so we went to New Jersey.

We stayed one night with my cousin Brandie, her husband Joel, and their two kids. We were able to go to a church softball game, have a bonfire, and a stop by the dutch bakery (which happened to be out of Stroepwaffles)! It was great!

Early the next morning we drove down to the giant book sale down where we used to live. It is becoming an annual event! I like it because we get to walk around our old home and re-live some great (and not so great) memories.

In the afternoon, I got together for a coffee with a friend from the elementary school I worked at during my MSW program. Then at night we got together with my cousin Dani, her husband Domenick, and their son Sammy! They are expecting another child on the 24th! We can't wait to hear.

Overall, it was a great trip and much needed! Below are the only two pictures I took over the weekend. It is of Jeff and Joel and Brandie's son Willem. There is a little stream right next to where they were play baseball, that is probably what they are looking at!
