Bizarre Week...

This week has been filled with a few "out of the normal" events...well...actually just Tuesday. While making my coffee in the morning I heard running water in the basement...it was about 6:30 a.m. so I knew it was not the washers because they do not turn on until 8:30 a.m. I went down for a look and discovered about 1-2 of water on the basement floor and water running from the ceiling.

I ran to find the office number for our condo owners, but I could not find it. I ran to my neighbor who is always up early and heard her screaming....her kitchen had been over flowing the whole night. Needless to say, her apartment, the middle apartment, and the basement we destroyed...thankfully, we are on the other side of the complex. We have had restoration crews in our complex for the past 5 days. I wish I had a picture...but I didn't want to get in their way.

p.s. After watching the extreme coupon show at Christmas in Washington, I found a coupon for Bailey's Irish cream coffee cream, non-alcoholic, but very tasty, I used this for the first time while making coffee on Tuesday!


That same Tuesday, Western Massachusetts was hit with different tornadoes. There were a few fatalities and damage to 19 communities. We had lots of loud rolling thunder and finger lightning. I felt like I was at home in Iowa, and Jeff and I sat and watched the weather all night. It is amazing to see God's awesome power! Since tornadoes are not common in Massachusetts I had many questions the next day at work about what to do in case more tornadoes came, it is fun to share experiences at work! I tried to post a video of the tornado in Springfield, Mass that sucked up the water from the Connecticut river, but the link was not working.
