Our trip to Manhattan!
Thursday went well. We started out at 8:30, took the train, the subway, and arrived at Columbia Univ. around 10:30. Beth and I looked through various boxes of Merton materials: letters, journals, pictures, etc. All quite fascinating! Afterwards, we walked to Central Park, then to Giovannia's for a slice of pizza, and then to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Seeing artifacts from Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt, etc. really brings history alive. We saw a helmet from Ancient Greece, and Beth said to me, "Someone once wore that!" And it's true.
