Trip to California and Grandpa John's 100th Birthday!

Last week Tuesday Jeff and I flew out to California to visit his family and to celebrate his Grandpa John's 100th Birthday! I will let the pictures below explain our trip!

Thank you Sam and Judi for everything, it was so wonderful! It was great to catch up as a family and spend the time relaxing.

Jeff's Mom's side, everyone but three, and those three were missed! It was also great to meet all the cousins that I have not met yet, and to get to know you more!

Jeff and his cousin Corey on his dad's side.

Jeff and his Grandpa John and Grandma Effie.

Singing Happy Birthday, what a delicious cake!

Wardrobe malfunction, his top buttons needed some help! Glad I could be there to help!

Grandpa John and Grandma Effie showing up in a Model T, believe it or not, he is older than the car!

Jeff playing in the pool at his parents house with his Nieces and Nephews.

The morning when Jeff and I got engaged we went to Jeff's favorite donut shop called Maui and Sons. It has the best donuts and every time we go to California we eat these wonderful donuts!

Concert in the park, the band Cold Duck! They were a great band and we had so much fun dancing, winning prizes, being together as a family, and searching for turtles in the pond.

Jeff had a boys day out with his Nephews. Here they are about to leave for lunch at Chick-fil-a, the movie Kung-Fu Panda II, and shakes from In-N-Out. It was special to see Jeff spend time with his nephews, and have a great time.

I asked Jeff's dad, Sam, to show me the black widow spider that he had killed before we all came. I had never seen one, but since watching a t.v. show with Jeff on venomous things, I thought I should check it out. It was huge and scary yet, beautiful to look at. Sam managed to make me jump by yelling while my face was close, I think I got pretty high! Thanks Sam!

We gave this candle to Sam and Judi as a thank you for our wedding three years ago. It was too beautiful to burn, but this year we read the directions and learned that it will not burn the outside. It is made by Holland Candles in Michigan, if you can, look it up online and you can watch how they make them, it is pretty cool!

A 100th birthday AND a wife to celebrate it with? That's blessed!

Also, we always stop at Sunshine Donuts in Ripon (multiple times) when we visit. :)
