I will be doing adult day care which allows me to visit clients in their homes with a nurse. I make sure they get the funding to be in the program, make sure their needs are met, and give counseling in their homes. I am mobile for most of my job and I have a laptop that allows me to work from home if I need to/want to! This job is great because it is in social work, gets me out of Starbucks(however, I must say Starbucks has been great with benefits, etc.), allows me to work on my LCSW which is the next level of licensure, and gives me the freedom to still be home for Jeff. The Lord has been good and providing this opportunity at the right moment. I have been training for the past week, as well as working at Starbucks to finish out my two weeks. Next week Tuesday will be my last day at Starbucks and then I am a full time social worker. Also, I will be taking on the caseload of a lady who is now, as of today, on Maternity leave. Good thing I trained with her for a week!
