On Monday, I drove to Boston University to meet a literary scholarly I greatly admire Christopher Ricks. I was surprised when he returned my email and invited me over to his office for tea! He is very well known in literary circles and he gave me great advice about what I should do about the future. He just finished up his time as Oxford Professor of Poetry, which lasts for five years--the person also has to be elected by a huge committee. Here's a picture of him I found on the internet:

Also, last week, Beth and I drove over to Guitar Center; I only have my electric guitar here (no amp), Beth misses me playing songs. So, we decided (we had some extra money) to buy an acoustic. The guy who sold it to me knew a lot about acoustics and taught me a lot!
I checked out volume I of Ducktales. So, I've been watching that throughout the week!

And I signed up for a summer course at MIT. I'll be taking a short course on Astrophysics, particularly Relativity and Cosmology. Ever since I was young, my dad would show me his National Geographic book about space and the planets. I've always loved movies about space. And two of my interests are Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

In other news, Beth and I bought an exercise video at Walmart. We've watched The Biggest Loser, so we thought we'd by a video by Jillian Michaels. Summer is approaching quickly quickly, and we have to get into our swimsuit bodies. In case you didn't know, the apartment complex we live in has a community pool! Yahoo! We'll see if it works. It's intense.

Beth is just about ready to sign up for her Social Work License test. She's been studying hard! This upcoming will be busy. Beth has work, and I am back in class, doing my TA thing, and I have several meetings. Have a good one!

Congratulations, Jeff, on (finally) getting an acoustic guitar! Now you can serenade your wife. That's good.
I've been working out the same DVD by Jillian... do you like it so far?
Hope you are enjoying your guitar Jeff:) Miss you both!
