I spent much of the afternoon researching the life and times of Thomas Becket. He is known for his opposition to King Henry II in the 12th Century and for his assassination in Canterbury Cathedral. I'm taking a course on Becket this semester, and I must admit that I don't know much about British history. So, today I researched the Kings and Queens of England--quite fascinating!
