Day three of the battle

Sunday afternoon, I felt horribly sick. On Monday, I decided to call in the Vitamin C Battalion to fight my cold. And today, the enemy has suffered many casualities in this cold-war. But I haven't pulled out the Vitamin C Battalion yet.

Last night, I went to the pubic library and rented Ocean's 12. Not as good as Ocean's 11, in my opinion. And today, I am researching the best way for our trip into Manhattan on Saturday. Beth's friend Brianna is coming for a visit, and since I have no plans this week (I'm still on Winter break), I decided to research out trip to The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, WTC memorial Central Park, Times Square, and Rockefeller Center. As you may know, the former three are in southern Manhattan and the latter in central Manhattan. So, some planning is needed. I think the subway is out of the question, since NYC is doing major construction on the subway line that we need. A Taxi will cost us about $12 (hopefully) one way. So, it looks like the bus, which will take about half and hour, but costs only $2.

Good Luck Planning! Your plan is semi-close to the same thing we did when we went to New York this past summer. Ellis Island is really interesting! It's too bad you can't take the subway...that was probably my favorite part, feeling like a "true" new yorker:)
