New York
When we arrived, by train, to Penn station, we had to walk about 10 blocks to Rockefeller Center. Along the way, we saw a line of parked Nascar cars, some homeless people, and Times Square. We arrived at the Center around 6pm, and we thought we would walk around a little bit before the show started. However, we soon found ourselves in a huge crowd of 100,000 people with no chance of getting out. We were trapped for the next three hours! We ended up having to watch the show on a big screen tv; but we were right outside NBC studios where Celine Dion was performing in the Rainbow Room--didn't see her though. The weather was about 40 degrees, which as just about perfect! The police had to yell at one guy in the crowed who was screaming for no apparent reason, but other than that, it was quite calm. Afterwards, since Beth and I hadn't eaten, we decided to stop by Burger King and eat before catching our train. Overall, it was great experience!
